OCR is getting super cool for Businesses
A Few months back, the student in class captured the image of the notes made by the other student in front of him and used iOS 15's recent text-recognition feature to highlight text, and copy and paste it into his notes. This instance was tweeted by @juanbuis, who shared the video of a student making the most of iOS 15's Live Text OCR feature. This cool OCR or Optical Character Recognition feature that the above student opts for is generally used to pull up the information from the text or documents and then convert it into the machine's language. Recently, the popular app developer Alessandro Paluzzi has also seen that Twitter is working on an OCR (optical character recognition) feature for the description of alt text. In his tweet, Alessandro Paluzzi shared the demonstration of how this twitter feature will function through a short video. At Dwarf AI we too want to make this super cool technology to be easily accessible by other businesses.

The iOS 15.6 launch comes just a few months before Apple's iOS 16 is set to be released – which typically happens in the fall. The tech giant is adding'automatic verification' with its upcoming iOS 16 that lets users to pass annoying CAPTCHAs CAPTCHAs – that's'completely automated public Turing test to tell computers and humans apart' – are these are the tests that ask you to select objects from a group of pictures Users can customize the lock screen by pressing and holding to bring up a selection of widgets, each showing a different photo, and swiping to the one they fancy. With the new lockscreen, notifications have been moved to the bottom of the screen, meaning they no longer cover the entirety of the display. They also now roll in from the bottom of the lock screen, and iPhone users can choose to hide them and look at them later. Information displayed on the lockscreen, such as time and date, also appear behind the subject in a photo rather than in front – meaning display info won't obscure the beloved lockscreen photo of your family member. You'll need to activate it manually in the Face ID & Passcode section of Settings.
Siri gains a new gender-neutral voice option in latest iOS update – TechCrunch
Apple has developed a new Siri voice, now available in the beta versions of its iOS 15.4 software, that doesn't sound obviously male or female. The decision to introduce a gender-neutral voice is one that sees the tech giant taking yet another step away from the criticism that, historically, digital assistants have reinforced unfair gender stereotypes. Over the years, industry observers and experts argued how the creation of voice assistants with female-sounding names -- like Alexa, Siri and Cortana -- which also speak with female-sounding voices, implied that women should be the ones to do your bidding at any time and even take your abuse. A U.N. study additionally called out the female voiced-assistants and their submissive and sometimes even flirty and coy styles. More problematically, the decision to make so many of the virtual assistants female by default was likely driven by a lack of diversity in the teams responsible for building our everyday technology.
Apple's Siri is getting a new 'gender-neutral' VOICE called Quinn in the next iOS update
While Siri is best known for its original, female voice, users will soon be able to opt for a new'gender-neutral' voice, called Quinn. Apple is launching the new voice in its next iOS update, which was released to developers this week. The tech giant has confirmed that the new voice was recorded by a member of the LGBTQ community, but did not offer any further details. 'We're excited to introduce a new Siri voice for English speakers, giving users more options to choose a voice that speaks to them,' Apple told Axios. While Siri is best known for its original, female voice, users will soon be able to opt for a new'gender-neutral' voice, called Quinn. While the new voice is simply called'Voice 5' on the iPhone, its filename refers to the voice as Quinn, according to iOS developer Steve Moser.
